Off-peak partner stays

Hotels, boutique homestays and apartments can have unused rooms in quieter periods. Participating accommodation providers may make some of that inventory available at seasonal or partner rates.

THE APPROACH

Use quieter seasons to find better-value rooms.

An empty room still has value. A stay that brings a guest into otherwise unused inventory can work for both the traveller and the accommodation provider.

The program brief gives an illustration: a room might cost US$80–120 per night in a busy season, while available off-peak partner inventory may cost less. This is an example of the approach, not an advertised room rate or a guaranteed saving.

Use empty rooms more efficiently. Keep the stay right for you.

Seasonal rates

Accommodation prices can change with the season and local demand.

Partner rates

Participating providers may offer an agreed rate for eligible program stays.

Off-peak rates

Quieter dates may open up rooms that would otherwise remain unused.

YOUR KIND OF STAY

What would suit your trip?

Hotel

Compare the room, location, included amenities and seasonal or partner rate for your actual dates.

The aim is better use of available rooms, not a lower accommodation standard. Confirm the room, amenities and booking terms before you commit.

A FEW USEFUL ANSWERS

Know what the idea means.

Does a lower rate mean a lower standard?

That is not the aim. The approach is to use quieter periods and available inventory while checking that the accommodation meets your needs.

Will every hotel participate?

No. Options depend on participating providers, the dates you choose and the rooms available for that itinerary.
